PHANTOM OF NMR MACHINE AND METHOD FOR MEASURING THE CHARACTERISTICS OF A MAGNETIC FIELD USING SUCH A PHANTOM

It is shown that placing the phantom within a NMR imaging device (1), by the image (9), and comparing (15) the obtained image to a theoretical image to be obtained , we can deduce the inhomogeneities of the orientating field of the machine on the one hand, and the inhomogeneities (29) of magnetic field gradients, which allow the image processing, on the other hand. Using measurement information of the inhomogeneity of the orienting field to act on means (12-14) for correcting the homogeneity of this field.
