A jib crane designed to be mounted on the chassis of a vehicle (31) for the loading and unloading of a load onto this vehicle, comprises a first arm (2) designed to be hinged at least indirectly to the chassis of the vehicle and, mounted on this first arm, a second arm normally perpendicular to this first arm and ending in a hook with which it grasps the top part of the load. The second arm is retractable, being formed by a first section (3A) mounted on the first arm, and a second section (3B) carrying the hook and movable relative to the first section between a retracted position (crane not in use) and a deployed position (crane in use), while at least one pair of complementary locking members are provided to lock the second section in its deployed position. …IMAGE…
