Red and red-orange afterglow phosphors

摘要

Red and red-orange afterglow phosphors and methods for manufacturing such phosphors are provided. The red and red-­orange afterglow phosphors are comprised of an alkaline earth chalcogenide host and an activator comprised of both europium and thulium, or europium and thulium containing compounds or compositions. The phosphors are prepared in the presence of a suitable amount of a flux.
