The method provides for repairing water-leaking cracks in the ceiling of an underground passage. Side walls are first built on both sides for supporting the new ceiling and reinforcing the old wall. Reinforced concrete slabs with holes for passing tie-wires are prefabricated in a suitable length and laid close side by side to span across the passage on top of the walls. Gaps between slabs are grouted with bonding material and wire are passed through the holes with tightening. The method facilitates the difficult work of mending the ceiling of underground structures against water leakage.
