How to dye cellulosic fibers without damaging endings

A process for dyeing cellulose fibres or cellulose-containing blend fibres with vat dyes, sulfur dyes, leuco vat ester dyes or azoic dyes by the pad dyeing process without incurring ending, in which an aqueous dyeing liquor is used which, aside from the dye, contains a colorless compound of the formula ##STR1## or of the formula ##STR2## where Q is ##STR3## or N--, Y is hydrogen, halogen, cyano, C.sub.1 - C.sub.5 alkyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 alkylsulfonyl,PPV and W, independently of each other, are each R.sub.2 --X.sub.2 --, R.sub.3 --X. sub.3 --, hydroxyl C.sub.1 --C.sub.5 alkoxy or an unsubstituted or C.sub. 1 --C.sub.5 alkyl-- or C.sub.5 --C.sub.6 cycloalkyl-monosubstituted or -- disubstituted amino group, the alkyl radical being unsubstituted or substituted by hydroxyl, cyano, sulfo or sulfato,PPR.sub. 1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3, independently of one another, are each an aromatic or heteroaromatic radical,PPX.sub.1, X.sub.2 and X.sub.3, independently of one another, are each --O--, --S--, ##STR4## -- NH--CO--Phen--NH-- or NH--CO--Phen--CO--NH--, R.sub.4 ishydrogen, C.sub.1 --C.sub.5 alkyl, C.sub.5 --C.sub.6 cycloalkyl or phenyl,PP Phen is an unsubstituted or substituted phenylene group,P P A is a direct bond, --CO-- or --CONH--,PPZ is an acidic, water-solubilizing group andPPm is 1 to 6.
