Improving milk production in lactating animals and increasing the milk fat and lactose content of the milk produced

PURPOSE: To increase the production of milk and fat content and lactose content in the produced milk by perenterally administering a bovine somatropin to a ruminant for milking and orally administering a glycopeptide antibiotic substance in combination therewith to the ruminant. CONSTITUTION: A bovine somatropin is parenterally administered in a daily dose of 5-50mg per head to a ruminant for milking developed in ruminant functions and a glycopeptide antibiotic substance or a polyether ionophore (e.g. avoparcin, ristocetin, lincomycin or carbadox) in a daily dose of 50-150mg per head in combination therewith is orally administered to the ruminant. Thereby, the secretion of milk is increased to simultaneously increase the fat and lactose contents in the milk. The bovine somatropin is daily and administered in the form of a dilute solution by subcutaneous injection or in an embedded form of an injection composition having continuous sustained release properties (prepared so as to release the dose into a humor).
