The frame (1) has a base plate (2) with 2 diametrically-opposed sleeves (7a,7b) respectively receiving a pair of support columns (8a,8b) for an appts. fixing plate (9). The support columns (8a,8b) can be fixed in the sleeves (7a,7b) at a required height, to allow continuous adjustment of the overall height of the frame (1), dependent on the required final position of the attached appts. Pref. each telescopic column (8a,8b) contains a clamping screw (14) operated from above, to fix the column (8a,8b) at the required height. The connections for the supported distribution appts. are pref. accessible by lifting a slider (6) forming part of one side of the frame (1), with the attached front cover automatically blocking the slider (6) in the closed position.
