The invention relates to a steam generator for a small high-temperature reactor, consisting of a plurality of (preferably three) mutually independent subsystems which are constructed to have an annular cross-section, are arranged coaxially in one another and in each case have their own pipe systems for supplying and extracting the secondary medium. The subsystems, which are arranged at a distance from one another, in each case have a gas supply consisting of gas-conducting jackets and hood-like gas-conducting structures to which an induction line (which leads to a circulation fan) is connected via a sliding connection. The pipe systems for the secondary medium comprise connecting lines which pass through the gas-conducting jackets, the penetration points likewise being sealed by means of sliding connections. All the sliding connections permit axial and radial movements. The load of the inner heating-surface bundle is transferred via its gas-conducting jackets and gas-conducting structures to the outer gas-conducting structure of the outermost heating-surface bundle. The outer gas-conducting jacket of this heating-surface bundle is supported on the steel pressure container which encloses both the small reactor and the steam generator.
