In a coal gasification plant (1), fuel gas is generated, which is passed via a raw-gas pipe (13) through the primary sides of several heat exchangers (20, 14, 4) into a purification plant (5), and after being reheated in one (4) of the heat exchangers, is used as fuel for a gas-turbine plant (2). The combustion air for the gas-turbine plant (2) is preheated in another (20) heat exchanger by heat exchange with the raw gas in a high temperature range. In this way, the waste heat arising in the coal gasification process is supplied to a large part to the gas-turbine section of the cycle, and not just to the steam-turbine section (3). IMAGE
