Plate-shaped spring elements of thermoplastic, if necessary with additional integrated functions, as replacement for conventional vibration damper (vibration absorber) designs, consisting of a spring and a separate damper (absorber). The object, specifically springing and damping of oscillating systems, is achieved by a single structural element or by a number of identical structural elements. The spring-damper characteristic is, on the one hand, predetermined by the design, but can, on the other hand, also be varied to a large degree during the production of the elements by influencing the manufacturing parameters.
