Process for improving the photosynthesis rate of plants and their defence mechanism against parasites of weak plants

The photosynthesis rate and the defence mechanism against parasites of weak crop plants can be improved by treating the aerial part of the plants with a vegetable fatty oil, essential oil and/or a plant-derived active ingredient. The oils and the plant-derived active ingredient are sprayed on to the crop plants in particular in the form of an emulsion.
