Wind-tunnel balance and method for its operation

Wind-tunnel balance, with which the forces acting in a flow on an object, especially a vehicle, are measured and the moments acting on the vehicle are calculated by means of a processor, a device being provided for applying defined forces from zero to full load to the object in the horizontal direction and for determining the displacement of the centre of gravity of the object resulting from the respective force. The force/distance function thus determined is taken into account in the determination of the moments, the respective force acting on the object being determined by means of the force measuring devices of the wind-tunnel balance itself.
