The invention relates to a method for taking films or pictures of objects (15, 16) which are at various distances, by means of a ciné camera (2) which is provided with an oscillating attachment (7), the objects (15, 16) to be imaged being illuminated separately and sequentially in a synchronous manner and in phase with the camera frequency, and that at the same time the sharpness of the respective illuminated object (15, 16) being adjusted by synchronously setting the attachment (7) separately onto this object (15, 16) during illumination in such a manner that the respective illuminated object (15, 16) is focused alternately, synchronously and in phase with the camera frequency on one and the same image surface (4) of the ciné camera (2) independently of the distance of the object to the ciné camera (2). The invention furthermore relates to a device for carrying out this method, having an objective (3) arranged on/in the camera housing (2), an imaging plane (4) provided behind the objective (3) and a drive (5) for a camera gear, having an attachment (7) which is coaxially arranged in front of the objective (3) and consists of a plurality of lenses (8, 9, 10, 11), a partial set (10, 11) of which lenses is mounted so as to be displaceable in the direction (X, Y) of the optical axis (13) along a length of path (W), a pivoting lever (17), which is mounted approximately centrally on a bearing chair (block, stool) (20) and has two lever ends (21, 22) which can be pivoted around a hinge (19), of which lever ends the one lever end (22) having the partial set of lenses (10, 11) and...
