Thiazole derivatives belonging to the 2-piperazinoacetamido-4-methylthiazole family, preparation process and use in therapeutics

The present invention relates to, as new industrial products, the thiazole derivatives chosen from the group comprising (i) the 2-piperazinoacetamido-4-methylthiazole derivatives of formula: IMAGE in which R represents: a) a C1-C4 alkyl group, b) a C1-C4 monohydroxyalkyl group, c) a C2-C4 polyhydroxyalkyl group comprising at least two OH groups, d) a phenyl group, or e) a phenyl group substituted especially by one or more C1-C4 alkyl, C1-C4 alkoxy, F, Cl, Br, CF3 and methylenedioxy residues; and (ii) their addition salts. These products are useful in therapeutics especially as anticonvulsants.
