The subject of the invention is a connector such as a cathode-ray tube holder for a television receiver, provided for protecting the contacts during storage, transport and handling. / P P represents in partial section an embodiment of this connector at the final stage of manufacture. This connector comprises a housing 1 contact holder associated with a piece 3 forming a sole conforming to the general shape of the housing. The sole includes internal housings 11, in number equal to that of the contact outputs 12, which provide both the protection and guiding thereof. A pressure exerted on the housing perpendicularly to the printed circuit 4 determines a relative sliding of the parts 1 and 3 causing the outcropping and then exceeding the predetermined length of the contact outputs 12. This result is obtained thanks to the cooperation of guide means and latching respectively integral housing 5, 7, 8 and the sole 9, 10, 10 'with holes in the printed circuit for this purpose. / P
