The method consists in taking a young and healthy scion, in full growth, and in placing it, according to the whip graft technique, onto the relatively young rootstock of another species of the same family. The two plants, scion and rootstock must absolutely correspond edge to edge so that the vessels are connected. The raffia tie is wrapped around in such a way that it may be removed without wounding the future plant's stem. A protective cover 7, made of transparent plastic, covers the whole assembly so as to create an atmosphere conducive to starting. This cover is opened in wet weather. IMAGE
