Each runner (9) which runs in and on a curved rail (4) comprises a bogey (6) at the front of the runner (9), guiding rollers (10) on its sides and internal rollers (11). Each runner is connected to a balancer (3) by at least one cable (13) of adjustable tension, and has on its upper side bars (18,19) which allow sliding guides (20,21) to be positioned. Bearings (22,23) hold a bar (24) on which there is a hook (28) which can oscillate up and down and rotate 90 deg. to the left or right so that it can be folded away when not in use. ADVANTAGE - Because of the runners, a ladder can be brought within easy reach of the person loading or unloading it, and less physical effort is required of the loader.
