A device for generating bidirectional electric signals includes a generator (4), providing a train of pulses (5) transmitted to a modulator (6) which progressively modulates the frequency of the pulses. The signal thus obtained is further received by an amplificator (19) connected to a voltage source (1), supplying all the circuits of the device. A power component (13) transforms the amplified signal in a train of bidirectional asymmetric pulses. the current polarity is controlled by a relay (16) connected to a counter (10), monitoring the number of modulated pulses (11) in a given time interval. Two electrodes (18) apply the electric signal to the patient. The train of pulses is visualised on an electronic display. USE/ADVANTAGE - For electrostimulation in medical applications. Current asymmetry is controlable, so that preveiling effect can be located to either of two electrodes. Has predetermined current polarity and can be used to stimulate in turn two different points or areas.
