The invention relates to a combined device for performing iridology in a practice, with the possibility of direct observation/analysis and recording of the data, and also for macroscopic photography. It is intended for transport. The apparatus consists of a protective hood 30, provided with a strap or handle 29, which locks onto a base 1. On the latter is fixed the frontal 4/chin 3 system which slides on the two columns 2 which are screwed to the base 1 at the front. Facing this, the body of the apparatus 8 supports either the optical head A or the photography head B. A novel device with a notched button 12 makes a pinion 10/rack 10' unit engage in order to ensure rapid or fine movement of the heads. A panel 14 which can be illuminated makes it possible to read or collect the data and store them either on a fileable document or in a computer. A lighting device 20 coaxially superposes the beams from the lamp and from the flash, optically optimises their light yield and diverts them through 90 DEG , whilst being able to scan through 360 DEG . This device which is built around a non-dedicated flash is pivoted on an arm 19 which allows it very great mobility.
