PURPOSE:To enable the offer of a large displacement 2-cycle engine by constructing the engine in a way that exhaust gas is scavenged by air introduced in a crankcase, fuel is injected from the upper part of a combustion chamber before and after a piston closes a risen scavenging port and the fuel is compressed and combusted. CONSTITUTION:Air is sucked and compressed in a crankroom, the compressed air is supplied in a combustion chamber from a scavenging port in a scavenging stroke to be used for scavenging exhaust gas, gasoline is injected from a fuel injection nozzle in the combustion chamber before and after the scavenging port is closed by a risen piston, and proper mixture is thereby generated. The mixture is compressed in a next stroke, and is ignited with a plug and combusted to generate power. Exhaust gas is discharged from an exhaust port opened by the descent of the piston in an exhaust stroke.
