LOCATING METHOD FOR FAULTY POINT ON TRANSMISSION LINE WITH PARALLEL TRANSMISSION LINE

PURPOSE:To locate a faulty point accurately and easily by adopting the differential currents of two lines which are detected respectively at both ends of a parallel transmission lines of two-terminal system for inputs and obtaining the distance from the terminal to the faulty point in accordance with a specified equation. CONSTITUTION:The differential currents DELTAIn, DELTAI'n {where, n is 0 (zero phase)} of the two-circuit lines detected respectively at both ends of the parallel transmission lines of two-terminal system are adopted for the inputs and the distance x from the terminal to the faulty point is obtained in accordance with the equation. The fault point can be thus located accurately and easily.
