RELEASING METHOD FOR FUNCTION STOPPING STATE DUE TO DISCORDANCE OF PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER

PURPOSE:To enable the restoration of a function by an its own device in the case where a first device falls into function stoppage because of the failure of the collation of a personal identification number by canceling function stoppage on the condition of the coincidence of both by inputting a code generated by a second device into the first device. CONSTITUTION:A card 5 is powered on. Since a flag (F2) 23 is set previously in it, a code operating part 20 operates code data according to the same algorithm as for code operation in a peripheral work consigned company 8 as considering data to be outputted from a timing part 21 and the company code (account number) of the user to be read out from a data memory 25 to be parameters, and writes it in a code memory 19. A superintendent informs the company 8 by telephone that a cord function was stopped. After the company 8 confirms the superintendent of the user 4, it operates the code data, and informs the superintendent of it. The superintendent inputs the code data informed by telephone from the company 8 from a key inputting part 11, and writes it in an input buffer 15. When the coincidence of the code data is decided, and the both coincide with each other, the flag (F) 23 is reset, and the card function is restored.
