PRODUCTION OF HIGHLY ACTIVE AGRICULTURAL CHEMICAL WETTABLE POWDER

PURPOSE:To obtain a insecticidal agricultural chemical wettable powder capable of exhibiting high activity against diamondback moth, tobacco cutworm, rice stem borer, etc., by predissolving part or all of a benzolyphenylurea-based insecticidial component in an organic solvent for use. CONSTITUTION:An adjuvant, such as surfactant, and carrier are added to a solution of a partially or wholly dissolved benzoylurea-based insecticidal component, e.g. 1-[3,5-dichloro-4-(1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethoxy)-phenyl-3-(2,6--difluorob enzoyl) urea, to afford an insecticidal agricultural chemical wettable powder. A readily volatile solvent, such as acetone, or a hardly volatile solvent, such as N- methyl-2-pyrrolidone, as an organic solvent is added at (1:0.1)-(1:10) ratio based on the active ingredient compound. The above-mentioned insecticidal active ingredient in an amount of normally 5-80% is contained in the wettable powder and the amount of the organic solvent is (1/10)-10 times based on the active ingredient.
