EOF CONTROL SYSTEM FOR RANDOM FILE IN APPLICATION PROGRAM

PURPOSE:To make it possible to treat a random file like a sequential file by finally adding a record expressing an EOF in an application program. CONSTITUTION:When an archive (AR) command for adding an AR member (M) file (FL) specified on the end of an ARFL is generated, the ARFL is opened and an ARM header record (HR) is read in. The M name in the ARMR is checked, and when the name is '00...0', a record expressing EOF is decided. When the M name is not '00...0', the ARMFL is jumped by the M size and the processing is repeated. When the read record is a record expressing the EOF, the record is removed and the M header of a new ARMFL specified by a parameter and the MFL in the ARFL. When no ARMFL to be added is left, the ARMHR whose M name is set up to '00...0' is written in the ARFL and the ARFL is closed.
