PURPOSE:To display a large water purification effect by a simple device by installing a filtering section with a cartridge and a fiber mat-shaped filter adjacent to a water storage section and returning water purified by the filtering section and the filter to the water storage section. CONSTITUTION:A filtering section 103 with a cartridge 104 is mounted adjacent to the sidewall 101 or base of a water storage section 100 such as a pool, and a water-passing port 105 is set up to the side-wall 101 or the base between the water storage section 100 and the filtering section 103. Water filtered by the filtering section 103 is returned to the water storage section 100. Water overflowing the upper end to the outside of the sidewall 101 of the water storage section 100 is collected to a ditch section 8 formed near the water storage section 100, purified by fiber mat-shaped filters 81a, 81b annexed into the ditch section 8 which containing activated carbon or an ion exchange resin, and returned to the water storage section 100.
