PURPOSE:To effectively recover available metals in slag in a ladle by stirring the slag by using inert gas while adding reducing agent into the slag flowing out in the ladle at the time of tapping molten metal. CONSTITUTION:The molten steel blow-refined from dephosphorized molten iron in a converter, is tapped into the ladle 1. A dust collecting hood 6 is laid on upper part of the ladle 1 and a main lance 4 for blowing inert gas, auxiliary lance 5 and chute 7 for charging reducing agent, are fitted through the dust collecting hood 6. The inert gas is blown from the lances 4, 5 to execute the stirring of the converter blowing slag, and the reducing agent is charged from the chute 7. While the converter blowing slag 3 caused to flow out in the ladle 1 is reformed into the reducing slag, the available metal elements of Mn, Cr, etc., contained in the converter blowing slag 3 is reduced and effectively recovered in the molten steel. Desulfurizing ratio in the molten steel can be improved because the reducing slag is generated.
