COMPOSITION WITH VIBRATION-DAMPING NATURE AND VIBRATION-DAMPING MATERIAL FORMED THEREFROM

PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition capable of giving vibration-damping materials of moderate adhesive followability by blending an isopropenyltoluene- based petroleum resin or aromatic petroleum resin with each specific amount of asphalt and filler. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition comprising (A) 100 pts.wt. of A1: an isopropenyltoluene homopolymer or copolymer of isopropenyltoluene and C4 or C5 fraction, pref. 80-140 deg.C in softening point or A2: an aromatic petroleum resin pref. 80-150 deg.C in softening point, (B) 100-500 (pref. 150-400) pts.wt. of asphalt, pref. fat modified blown asphalt 20-30 in penetration and (C) 90-400 (pref. 140-300) pts.wt. of filler (pref. mica or graphite). This composition can be obtained by kneading the component A with the component B in a molten state followed by kneading the component C.
