METHOD OF DETECTING TROUBLE FOR CENTRAL TIRE INFLATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: To prevent deterioration of an inflation state of a tire by not controlling and measuring pressure of the tire unless sensitive pressure in a conduit is within a standard range. CONSTITUTION: A pressure converter 80 to generate an output signal by sensing pressure of a conduit 20 is provided. Pressure in the conduit 20 is stabilized to average tire air pressure by opening wheel end valves 32, 34 and closing the conduit 20 by a control valve assembly 70 so as to precisely measure average tire air pressure. When a system is in a stationary state, a seal is protected by, for example, communicating the conduits 20, 24 and 26 to atmospheric air. In this state, when a pressure reading value of the pressure converter 80 is compared with a specified standard value before air pressure of the tire is measured and it is not within the standard range, failure of the pressure converter is suggested, the system 10 stops working, and deterioration of an inflation state of the tire is prevented.
