NEEDLE THREAD REELING DEVICE WITH THREAD BREAKAGE DETECTING FUNCTION FOR SEWING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To obtain a needle thread reeling device having both a thread breakage detecting function and a needle thread reeling function by providing a thread breakage detecting wire, one end of which is engaged with a needle thread, the other end being connected with a thread breakage detecting shaft and a driving mechanism for turning the thread breakage detecting shaft through a link mechanism. CONSTITUTION:One end of a thread breakage detecting wire 2 is fixed on a thread breakage detecting shaft 1 of a knife stop lever 10 by a screw 1a, and the other end of the thread breakage detecting wire 2 is engaged with a needle thread 8 positioned between a thread take-up lever 6 and a thread tensioner 3 to form a thread breakage detecting function. When a needle thread 8 is broken, the tension of the needle thread 8 is lost so that a thread breakage detecting shaft 1 is turned counter-clockwise by the dead load of an arm 10a extending to the left of a knife stop lever 10 fixed on the thread breakage detecting shaft 1 and an arm 10b extending to the right of the knife stop lever 10 is moved upward to detect the breakage of the thread. Further, a link mechanism 12 and the thread breakage detecting wire 2 fixed to the thread breakage detecting shaft 1 of the knife stop lever 10 form a thread reeling function, and the other end of the thread breakage detecting wire 2 is moved to reel up a thread. Accordingly, one mechanism can execute thread breakage detection and needle thread reeling.
