PURPOSE:To realize a stable execution, by installing a caisson with a cover fixed with a long steel sheet pile and a short linear sheet pile at a specified place and feeding slurry sand to fill it within the inside and further inserting a linear sheet pile on another one. CONSTITUTION:A caisson 1 with a cover, in which a long steel sheet pile 2 and a short linear sheet pile 3 are buried at the respective bottoms, is previously manufactured on the land. And then the caisson is towed onto a rubble-mound 5 laid down at a required place and installed by poured water and further filling sand 9 is charged up to the near level of the upper edge of a sheet pile 3. Next, additional linear sheet piles 3A are inserted by butt-joint with the sheet pile 3 in accordance with the fed sand 9. After the sand is fed up to a required level, upper concrete is applied. On towing and installing the caisson 1, the upper part of the sheet pile 3 is cut off to reduce the effect of wave energy and hence, a stable execution can be realized.
