COMMON CONTAINER FOR TAKING AND UNIFORM TREATING OF SPUTUM

PURPOSE:To allow drawing and uniform treating of sputum by using a capped container of a flat bottomed cylindrical type in which plural pieces of granular solid materials are housed. CONSTITUTION:The material quality of the granular solid materials 3 is not limited and the materials which are heavy to some extent are more preferably used. The materials made of glass are preferred. The sputum is taken into the container 2. Since the container has a large bore, discharging of the sputum directly into the container is possible. The container can be erected without auxiliary implements and since the bottom is flat, taking of a specimen from the desired part in the taken sputum is possible. A chemical for uniformization and a specific sterilizer are put into the container contg. the sputum. The chemical and the sterilizer as well as the sputum are well mixed and the sputum is rapidly uniformized by oscillating the container by a shaker and rotating the granular solids 3 in the container. Since the cap 1 is provided to the container in the entire stage, the jump out of the contents to the outside does not arise and the safety is assured. Further the container is less taller than a test tube and, therefore, the container sticks to the inside wall of the test tube and does not fall down. The complete and uniform treatment of the sputum is possible as well.
