PURPOSE:To reinforce the front bedrock of a working face, and to improve the stability of the working face by penetrating a screw auger mounted to a V travel car body into the bedrock, cutting a slit, injecting concrete and constructing a pre-lining. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of screw augers 16 mounted to an endless zone 14 in front of a V travel car body 2 are penetrated into the front bedrock of a working face, and slits are cut. Concrete is fed into the hollow shafts of the screw augers 16 while pulling the screw augers, and injected and filled into the slits from nose filler holes. A pre-lining composed of a thin concrete arch shell is constructed into the bedrock. The same operation is repeated, and the pre-lining extended in the crossing direction and longitudinal and lateral directions of a tunnel is executed around a tunnel arch section. Accordingly, the settlement of the ground surface due to the excavation of the tunnel can be inhibited.
