METHOD FOR COOLING BOTTOM BLOWING TUYERE OF REFINING FURNACE

PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of exchanging bottom blowing tuyeres and repairing the furnace bottom by adopting a gaseous mixture composed of hydrocarbon and inert gas for a cooling gas, controlling the hydrocarbon to a specified flow rate and subjecting the inert gas to pressure control. CONSTITUTION:Oxygen 2 or a combustible gas contg. oxygen, for example, gaseous propane, is supplied to an inside pipe 3-1 of the bottom blowing tuyere of a bottom blown converter, etc., and the cooling gas is supplied to an outside pipe 3-2. The gaseous mixture composed of the hydrocarbon such as gaseous propane 01 and the inert gas or CO2 02 is adopted for the cooling gas. The hydrocarbon is controlled to the specified flow rate and the inert gas or gaseous CO2 to be supplied is subjected to the pressure control. The cost of exchanging the bottom blowing tuyeres and repairing the furnace bottom is reduced in this way.
