PURPOSE: To obtain a polypeptide having human monocytic chemotactic factor(MCF) activities by using an expression vector containing a DNA, having the MCF activities, capable of coding a polypeptide having a specific amino acid sequence and integrated therein. ;CONSTITUTION: This polypeptide having human MCF activities is produced by synthesizing a gene expression vector containing a DNA, having MCF activities, capable of coding a polypeptide having an amino acid sequence represented by formula I (X denotes Ala or Thr) or its principal part and integrated therein, then transferring the resultant gene expression vector into a suitable host such as Escherichia coli according a Cohen method, etc., forming a transformant and then culturing the transformant. The resultant polypeptide is subsequently purified from the crude polypeptide by a method such as nucleic acid removal, acid treatment, salting out, cation exchange chromatography, etc.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1990,JPO
