BED LOG FOR MUSHROOM CULTURE AND CULTURE OF MUSHROOM USING BED LOG

PURPOSE:To efficiently, economically obtain mushrooms in high yield and in a labor-saving way by providing the circumference of a material wood with fungus-inoculating grooves in a direction crossing over the fiber direction and by including a culture medium in these grooves to grow mycelia. CONSTITUTION:The circumference of a material wood 1 such as a culture bed log is provided with fungus-inoculating grooves 2 in a direction crossing over the fiber direction. Mushroom fungi such as 'shiitake' or 'nameko' is sprinkled on a culture medium band 3 prepared by putting a culture medium 5 comprising woodmeal and bran into a sack band 4 of gauze and are put to culture at 20 deg.C and grown. Thence, the resultant fungi thus grown is then inoculated in the above grooves 2, being grown pref. at 20 deg.C and 80-90%RH to obtain the objective mushrooms.
