GEL BASE FOR SPRAY AND GEL AGENT USING SAME BASE

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a gel base for spray having excellent spreadability and a gel agent prepared by mixing the gel base with an active drug by thickening an aqueous solution of carboxyvinyl polymer having a specific concentration with an insoluble basic substance and adjusting the aqueous solution with a viscosity modifier to specific viscosity. CONSTITUTION:A relatively highly concentrated aqueous solution of carboxyvinyl polymer(CVP) having 0.2-1.5wt.% CVP is thickened with an insoluble basic substance into a relatively high-viscosity gel and viscosity thereof is adjusted to 500-5,000 centipoise by using a viscosity modifier in such a way that particle size distribution during spray has =90% particles having 20-100 micron particle diameters to give a spray gel base which has a little viscosity change before and after spray, excellent spreadability in application to mucosa, skin, etc., without causing liquid drip and can stably release an active drug to the organisms and a gel agent which is prepared by uniformly blending the spray gel base with the active drug and the same extremely excellent performances as those of the above-mentioned effects.
