PURPOSE:To compare sound packet omission compensation systems without depending on a subjective evaluation test by calculating the distortion quantity of an omission compensation sound signal as an objective evaluation scale through the use of a cepstrum coefficient at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:An analysis segment division means 12 divides an original sound signal and the omission compensation sound signal at every analysis segment. An operation execution decision means 15 decides the analysis segment calculating a cepstrum distance based on the decision result of a ringing decision means 13 and an amplitude comparison means 14. A cepstrum distance calculation means 16 obtains the cepstrum distance between the signals A division start point control means 18 moves the division start point of the analysis segment division means 12 by th prescribed quantity so as to execute a processing again. An averaging processing means 19 extracts the prescribed number of the cepstrum distance among the cepstrum distances accumulated in a cepstrum distance accumulation means 17, obtains the mean value so as to output it as the distortion quantity. Thus, the sound packet omission compensation systems can be compared without depending on the subjective evaluation test.
