PURPOSE:To improve deep drawability and non-ageing characteristic by continuously casting a low-C steel in which respective contents of Mn, S, and Ti are specified, cooling the resulting cast slab under specific conditions, and subjecting the above cast slab to hot rolling, coiling, cold rolling, and continuous annealing. CONSTITUTION:A steel having a composition containing, by weight, =0.05% C, =0.5% Mn, =0.020% S, and =0.010% Ti is cast continuously. The resulting cast slab is cooled at a cooling rate of 0.5-10 deg.C/sec or below, hot-rolled at a temp. of the Ar3 point or above, and coiled at =600 deg.C. Successively, cold rolling and continuous annealing are carried out, followed by temper rolling, if necessary. By this method, a steel sheet having excellent deep drawability and reduced in age deterioration can be produced at a low cost while obviating the necessity of using dead-soft C steel.
