CONTROL OF TENSION OF WARP AND LOOM HAVING WARP TENSION ADJUSTING ELEMENT

PURPOSE: To adjust the tension of warp to an optimum state by regulating warp tension by warp-tensioning regulating elements and freely actuating these elements for the purpose of free picks by means of at least one discrete drive assemblies. CONSTITUTION: A whip roll 21 of a warp-tensioning regulating device 20 is moved back and forth in a perpendicular direction at arbitrary required cadence by actuation of a servomotor 36. The warp tension is continuously monitored by a warp tension detector 52 connected to a control and adjustment circuit device 88 and the servomotor 36 is actuated at a proper time, by which the length of the warp may be changed to the arbitrary required length.
