CONTROL ON CONCURRENT CONSTRUCTION OF SEGMENT FOR SHIELD EXCAVATOR AND SHIELD EXCAVATOR THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To raise the efficiency of shield excavation by concurrently making shield excavation and segment construction by a method in which the contraction of shield jacks and the construction of segment pieces are repeated according to set placing positions for segment pieces. CONSTITUTION:In shield jack groups set on the same circumference of the inside of a skin plate 2 in the back side of a shield excavator 1, shield jacks 5 on the symmetrical position of the same position as the placing position of the nest segment piece are contracted concurrently and segment pieces 10 are constructed during the excavating period of shield extending in contact with the segment ring 10 already constructed. According to the order of set placing positions of segment pieces, the contraction of shield jacks 5 and the construction of segment pieces are repeated in order. The shield excavation efficiency can thus be enhanced.
