CROSS SECTION TEMPERATURE MEASURING DEVICE FOR SUSPENSION BRIDGE CABLE

PURPOSE:To pull out a lead wire easily from a cable and also, prevent it from being cut off at the time of operation, by making the lead wire connected to a temperature sensor provided within the cable, pass through an opening opposing a vertical spacer between strand rows. CONSTITUTION:Temperature sensors 27 are provided within the cross section of a cable 14, and lead wires 28 connected to these are led in parallel along strands 17 to the vicinity of saddles 15, 15, 16, 16 supporting the cable 14. Next, lead wires 28 are passed through openings 26 confronting vertical spacers interveniently placed between strand rows 24 within saddles 15, 15, 16, 16, and are pulled out to the outside of the cross section of the cable 14. As a result, a lead wire 28 being pinched between strands 17 is gotten rid of, and pulling out a lead wire 28 becomes easy, and at the same time, being cut off at the time of a squeezing operation can be prevented.
