X-RAY FLUOROSCOPIC PHOTOGRAPHING METHOD FOR TEST PIECE IN RESTRAINT WELD CRACK TEST

PURPOSE:To make distinct X-ray photographing even if a crack arriving at the front or rear surface of a weld bead zone of a test piece exists by previously packing barium compd. powder for shielding X-rays which is specific in grain size into a recess formed on the front surface of the weld bead zone. and irradiating the bead zone with X-rays. CONSTITUTION:The barium compd. powder for shielding X-rays having =74mum grain size is previously packed into the recess 3 formed on the front surface of the weld bead zone 2 of the test piece 1 and the weld bead zone of the test piece is irradiated with the X-rays. An X-ray film 5 positioned below the test piece 1 is photographed by the X-rays and the condition of the crack of the weld bead zone 2 is judged.
