PURPOSE:To prevent the burning of a contact by providing a means to output an abnormality detection signal when the temperature of a contact piece becomes the preset temperature or above. CONSTITUTION:A thermocouple 13 is inserted from below a stem, its temperature measuring piece 13A is fitted at the lower end of a copper block 9A, the temperature of the block 9A is detected. The detection value of the thermocouple 13 is inputted to a comparing/judging circuit 14 and compared with the temperature preset by an optionally settable potentiometer 15, if the detection temperature preset temperature, an abnormality detection signal is outputted from the comparing/judging circuit 14. An alarm buzzer or the like is operated by this abnormality detection signal. The abnormal temperature rise and burning of a contact can be thereby detected.
