ANTIPOLUTION MEASURE FOR SPIKE-TIRE DUST

PURPOSE:To reduce the amount of dust produced by spike pins to the amount produced only by front wheels, by using a crude-rubber made ring cover having a prescribed tension for a rear-wheel tire of an automobile, without using spike pins. CONSTITUTION:Without using spike pins for a rear wheel of an automobile, a crude-rubber made ring cover 2 having a prescribed tension is used for the outer circumference of the tire 1 thereof. Let W be the total weight of the automobile, and respective weight ratios for the front wheel and the rear wheel be 0.1W, 0.4W respectively, this is considered to be proportional to the amount of dust to be produced by the spike tires of respective wheels. Thus, without using spike pins for the tire 1 of the rear wheel, and by using the ring cover 2, the amount of dust to be produced can be reduced to that produced only by front wheels or to 20%.
