DYNAMIC CHANGE SYSTEM FOR RULE INFERENCE STRATEGY

PURPOSE:To attain flexible and optimum inference by referring a short term storing area for strategy determination to have information, which show a condition, and an inference strategy determination rule group, determining and changing inference strategy. CONSTITUTION:An inference system 2 is composed of an inference processing mechanism 3, a knowledge base 4, a short term storing area 5 for rule execution and a dynamic inference strategy change mechanism 6. The storing area 5 is a work area to store the changing condition and the contents of the area are updated by the execution of inference. The inference mechanism 3 executes the collation and selection of the rule and inference processing with using the knowledge base 4 and short term storing area 5. The dynamic inference strategy change mechanism 6 is composed of an inference strategy selecting mechanism 7, an inference strategy determination rule group 8 and a short term storing area 9 for strategy determination. The information to correspond to the change are written to the storing area 9 and the various inference storategy to correspond to the condition is stored to the rule group 8 in advance.
