PURPOSE: To attain automatic restoration from a burst error or the loss of a clock cycle by transmitting synchronizing signals in a preliminarily decided number, and generating timing signals following the incoming synchronizing signals with equal intervals. CONSTITUTION: A present state controller 10 is connected with a successive error counter 26, and when the total more than three successive errors are generated, the present state controller is inputted to the synchronizing routine. The state controller allows at least 8 synchronizing messages to be transmitted to a communication line, and a transmitter continues the transmission of the synchronizing message until the synchronizing message is received. While the state controller waits for the correctly received synchronizing message, the reception of one synchronizing signal in a message including a CRC(cyclic redundancy check) error allows the state controller to declare a 'DETECTOR ON' signal again, and allows a receiver to continue the search of the synchronizing signal.
