ABSORPTIVE TYPE REFRIGERATOR, AMMONIA REMOVING METHOD, AMMONIA REMOVING DEVICE AND AMMONIA GAS REMOVING AGENT

PURPOSE:To improve anti-corrosion and reliability by a method wherein a coolant passage is provided with an ammonia removing device for use in removing ammonia generated in coolant from nitrogen oxide. CONSTITUTION:Ammonia removing device 6 for use in removing ammonia gas in coolant vapor generated from corrosion restricting agent is arranged in a coolant vapor passage. Generated ammonia gas is brought into contact with ammonia gas removing agent, ammonia gas of gaseous form is fixed in a system as a solid compound from mixture gas under its reaction, removed out of the system as required and selectively removed. As ammonia gas removing agent, metallic particles which comes in contact with ammonia gas to generate nitride or amine compound or halogen compound generating ammonia compound are applied. An ammonia removing device 6 is arranged between a regenerator and a condensor 2 of a refrigerator or between a high temperature regenerator 1a and a low temperature regenerator 1b, the removing device is constructed by a plurality of ammonia removing sections and the removing portions can be replaced also during operation of the refrigerator.
