PURPOSE:To increase a heat conductivity at the side of an using surface and prevent contact of oxygen with carbon by the glass of B2O3 upon using to improve a resistance to oxidization by a method wherein a lining brick is constituted of the double layered structure of a graphite brick layer, added with boron compound and arranged at the side of the using surface, and another graphite brick layer, arranged at the side of a rear surface and provided with specified bulk specific gravity and heat conductivity. CONSTITUTION:A lining brick 3 is constituted of a double layered structure consisting of a graphite brick layer 1, used at the side of an using surface and added with boron compound, and another graphite brick layer 2, arranged at the side of a rear surface and provided with the bulk specific gravity of 0.5 or less and the heat conductivity of 0.3kcal/m.hr. deg.C. Accordingly, the heat conductivity of the using side of the lining brick is high and the whole of the inside of a furnace including a heater may be heated to an uniform temperature when the lining brick is lined on the inside of a high temperature atmosphere furnace. On the other hand, the oxidization starting temperature of the lining brick is very high such as 700 deg.C and consumption due to oxidization will never be generated substantially at a temperature lower than 700 deg.C whereby the life of the lining brick may be elongated remarkably.
