SWIRLER-TYPE FLAME HOLDER OF GUN-TYPE BURNER

PURPOSE:To attain an improvement in a combustion property and stability of an ignition property effectively by providing a tubular guide plate for a disk-shaped swirler-type flame holder so that is surrounds the fore end part of an oil supply pipe and an atomizing nozzle and by dividing the swirler-type flame holder into an inner peripheral part and an outer peripheral part. CONSTITUTION:Air sent into an outer tube 1 is separated into air D flowing through a gap between the outer tube 1 and a flame holder 4 and air E flowing through a gap 4a positioned in an outer peripheral part d2 of the flame holder 4. The air coming in from the gap 4a of the flame holder 4 is separated into a component m2 and a component m1 and flows downward while swirling in the resultant direction m3 as a whole. Since a large quantity of air flows in from the outer peripheral part of the flame holder 4, the moment of the air from the outer peripheral part increases and this increases a force of swirling. By the position of installation of a guide plate 6 for the flame holder 4, the ratio between the air moment in the radial direction along which the flows in and the air movement in the circumferential direction can be varied. By adjusting the fitting position of the guide plate 6, the shape of swirling can be varied without changing the shape of the flame holder 4, and thus a gun-type burner being excellent in an ignition property and a combustion property is obtained with ease.
