STRUCTURE FOR TURN-BACK STATION AND METHOD FOR TURN-BACK OPERATION

PURPOSE:To increase a number of operational services of a train in its departure and arrival by providing in a turn-back station at least three tracks while behind one track of them a turn-back track successively in line and combining turn-back operations behind a platform and its inside. CONSTITUTION:A train A in a turn-back track 1 behind a platform is advanced to the third track (3) in no relation to arrival of a train B, leaving a platform 8 in a station one before, and stopped to a boarding platform 2 for passengers to get on. The train B, during this time, is advanced into an alighting platform 3 of the first track (1) and retracted to the turn-back track 1 after passengers get off. While during this time, the train A is started departing from the third track (3) via a joining branch point 4, and in no relation to this departure, a train C is advanced into the second track (2) via a branch point 5. In this track (2), passengers get on and off the train from its both sides by utilizing each platform 2, 3. And the following train D is advanced into the first track (1) by selecting a direction (1) of the branch point 5.
